In a Jade Park first, we have purchased a bull from across the ditch in New Zealand!!
We are very keen to announce that after successfully securing Meadowslea R818 at their 2022 stud bull auction, we have been able to negotiate an exciting shared arrangement with Meadowslea Genetics!
We at Jade Park have been searching for a reliable heifer joining with outcross genetics and Meadowslea R818 immediately ticked all the right boxes. He has very safe calving ease attributes with high fertility and an easy-doing style from his ample fat cover.
Whilst having moderate growth EBVs, his capacity is enormous as you will see in the pre-sale video. And as always, docility is an absolute non-negotiable which is never an issue with any Meadowslea Angus bulls.
R818’s outcross pedigree is super reliable with his maternal side full of prominent, proven Meadowslea cows and we were very impressed with his sire, Measdowslea ‘Meat Machine’ G914, who is a true heifer bull with trait leading calving ease EBVs and great fat cover.
Exciting times ahead at Jade Park with plenty of new genetics coming through this year and looking forward to R818’s progeny in 2023!
